Access to education is a fundamental right of every child, yet for years the daughters of Kot Lakhnana faced serious barriers in continuing their studies beyond elementary level. After completing primary education, girls had to travel nearly 10 kilometers to Jhang for secondary schooling. This daily journey in overcrowded local buses or costly private transport exposed them to hardship, safety concerns, and financial burden.
Many families in the area could not
afford regular transportation expenses. As a result, numerous talented girls
were forced to discontinue their education despite their strong desire to learn
and progress. Recognizing this urgent social challenge, Roshan Mustaqbil
Welfare Society took a historic initiative to establish a high school for girls
within the locality.
Community
Struggle for Educational Access
The journey toward establishing a
girls’ high school was long and demanding. Initially, only a government
elementary school existed in Chak No. 458. Upgrading it to a high school
required land, legal approvals, and persistent advocacy.
One of the biggest obstacles was the
non-availability of land for the school. After extensive efforts, the Society
identified suitable land owned by the District Health Department Punjab.
Securing this land required a complex legal process, multiple approvals, and
continuous engagement with government authorities.
The Society actively approached
education and health authorities, advocating for the educational future of
local girls. With dedicated leadership from President M. Iqbal and the tireless
efforts of the Society’s team, the initiative gradually gained momentum.

Support and Official Approval
The mission received crucial support
from Sultan Sikandar Bharwana, whose cooperation helped move the process
forward at the governmental level. After persistent advocacy and legal
procedures, 11 kanal and 7 marla of land were officially transferred to the
education department.
This landmark approval paved the way
for the establishment of Govt Girls High School Chak 458, marking a new
chapter in local educational development.
In 2022, the school was formally
inaugurated by M. Aslam Bharwana along with MPA Sultan Sikandar
Bharwana. The inauguration symbolized not just a building, but a promise
fulfilled for generations of girls.

On this land, Govt Girls High School Chak 458 was established. The school was inaugurated in 2022 by former minister M. Aslam Bharwana and MPA Sultan Sikandar Bharwana.

کوٹ لکھنانہ میں گورنمنٹ گرلز ہائی سکول کا قیام — تعلیم کی جانب ایک تاریخی قدم
تعلیم ہر بچے کا بنیادی حق ہے، مگر کوٹ لکھنانہ کی بچیوں کو ابتدائی تعلیم کے بعد مزید پڑھائی کیلئے تقریباً 10 کلومیٹر دور جھنگ شہر جانا پڑتا تھا۔ روزانہ کا سفر مالی، سماجی اور حفاظتی مسائل کا باعث بنتا تھا۔
بہت سے والدین سفری اخراجات برداشت نہ کر سکے جس کی وجہ سے متعدد بچیاں تعلیم سے محروم ہو گئیں۔ اس سنگین مسئلے کو محسوس کرتے ہوئے روشن مستقبل ویلفیئر سوسائٹی نے علاقے میں گرلز ہائی سکول کے قیام کیلئے جدوجہد شروع کی۔
علاقے میں پہلے صرف گورنمنٹ ایلیمنٹری سکول موجود تھا۔ ہائی سکول کے قیام کیلئے زمین درکار تھی جو محکمہ صحت کی ملکیت تھی۔ سوسائٹی نے طویل قانونی کارروائی کے بعد زمین کے حصول کیلئے متعلقہ حکام سے رابطے کئے۔
صدر سوسائٹی میاں اقبال اور ٹیم کی شب و روز محنت، اور ایم پی اے سلطان سکندر بھروانہ کے تعاون سے 11 کنال 7 مرلہ زمین محکمہ تعلیم کو منتقل کی گئی۔
اس زمین پر گورنمنٹ گرلز ہائی سکول چک 458 قائم کیا گیا جس کا افتتاح 2022 میں سابق وزیر ایم اسلم بھروانہ اور ایم پی اے سلطان سکندر بھروانہ نے کیا۔
آج اس سکول کی بدولت علاقے کی بچیاں محفوظ ماحول میں معیاری تعلیم حاصل کر رہی ہیں۔ والدین اطمینان کے ساتھ اپنی بیٹیوں کو تعلیم دلا رہے ہیں۔
